Our Primer, First, and Second Graders gave an amazing performance of "A Little Night Music" - this program was a great way to show off all they have learned about music so far. Wesley Prep's music program incorporates the Orff Method, this enabled the students to take an active role in arranging one of the pieces of music included in the show. BRAVO!

Our Fifth Graders brought American History to life during Night at the Museum! The event was the culmination of a six-week research project which allowed the students to immerse themselves in the lives of their subjects. Do you need an electrician? Call a Wesley Prep 4th Grader! The students built cardboard replicas of famous Texas landmarks - and brought them to life with electrical lights. Additionally, each student created, wired, and decorated a question-and-answer circuit board.

It was Game Time in the Third Grade Classrooms during Night at the Museum last week - the students created fun midway games using their knowledge of simple machines. Each game incorporated at least two of the simple machines (inclined plane, wedge, screw, lever, pulley, and wheel-and-axle). Hands-on Learning is cool!

Wesley Prep Toddlers created cool artwork using different shapes and silhouettes. They even learned how pretty shapes occur in nature by painting with a celery stalk! This activity was a great way to be creative, get messy, and practice fine motor skills at the same time!

Wesley Prep 4th Graders hosted a Valentine's Day Party for the Casa Feliz Senior Citizens from the Wesley Rankin Community Center. After attending Ash Wednesday Chapel, this group had a great time playing bingo, exchanging Valentines, winning prizes, and decorating yummy cookies.

Our PreK 4s students are talking about how important our brains are as the control center for our bodies. Students also talked about how important it is to be careful and to protect our brains. For example - wear a helmet when we ride a bike or scooter! Students participated in a cool activity using a pretend brain made of Jell-O and practiced their fine motor skills at the same time!
