Finger Painting Fun in Preschool Today! This was the first time finger painting for some of our panther cubs in Mrs. Wackel's PreK 2.5 class - their creations will turn into cute pumpkins soon. These types of activities help students develop fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination through sensory play and exploration.

After a Science Lesson on Animal Adaptations about Birds, our Sixth Grade Students participated in a hands-on lab and discovered how hard it would be to eat if they only had beaks or bills! The exercise was a fun and challenging competition and even Mrs. Fahrenbrook and Mr. Keeble took part in the chaos!

During Early Childhood Music, Miss Betty began class by reading "Little Blue Truck Leads the Way" by Alice Shertle. After hearing the story (about a truck that alternates between going too fast and too slow when driving through the town), the students were asked to remember how to "start" and "stop" while "driving" on their own.

Our Kindergarteners welcomed a Scientist from High Touch High Tech today. This in-house field trip focused on the properties of MAGNETISM. They learned about how magnets attract and repel, participated in some hands-on activities, and created their own magnets! They raced cars without touching them, drew pictures with flakes of iron, created floating magnet designs, and lots more!

Our Kindergarteners have been learning about the computer mouse in Technology Lab. They have been practicing how to hold a mouse using “bunny ears” (the pointer finger and middle finger) and how to drive and click with their binder full of fun activities. These activities help students develop new muscle memories.

In Primer, we started off the year by learning about ourselves and one another. In 3rd Grade, we approach math with as many hands-on ways as possible by using Math Centers (to reinforce the information learned during whole group instruction). It was TEAM SPIRIT DAY today! Our students and staff members could show their Team Spirit by wearing their favorite team's gear. Mister Bruce has been talking about being a part of a TEAM in chapel this week. This is part of his great message: "We are all a part of a team, at some point or another. When we want to accomplish a goal or achieve an objective (and more than one person is a part of the action): you have a Team. It’s how we work together within the Team that makes the journey of achievement a success. We are Team Wesley Prep, and our goal is to add beauty and wonder as Co-Creators with God. Let’s get to work, Team!"
