Our Fifth Graders recently finished two fun projects in Technology Class: creating their own digital silhouettes and mastering the art of mosaics! Both projects involved learning new design tools! This artwork was very cool and creative!

WP parent/geologist, Martin Anderson talked to our Kindergarten Classes about the Rock Cycle last week. They conducted experiments to show how sediment is deposited into the ocean from rivers, used Play-Doh to show how metamorphic rocks are formed, and created a volcano to show how lava flows. They made quite an eruption!

The Toy Story Movie Party was super fun! WP staff members love an opportunity to dress up - Buzz, Bo Peep, Woody, Jessie, and an alien helped with the party. The students participated in a Mister Potato Head contest, did a fun relay race, ate pizza/popcorn/ice cream, and watched the movie! This event benefitted the Spring Fundraiser - thanks to all for participating!

Our Second Grade students have finally met their new classmates. As part of a unit on life cycles, the classes study a group of eggs. From incubation to hatching, the Panthers learn, observe, and record what happens as the eggs become chickens. Additionally, the students are allowed to take the new hatchlings home and care for them overnight.
